I was recently asked to spend the day photographing the operations of a Quarry in Eastern Iowa. It was a good day for an outdoor industrial photo shoot, and I enjoyed myself immensely. I’m like a kid in a candy store when I have this much visual activity to photograph. I love getting up in a cherry picker and cruising around getting every angle imaginable. Now, as a newly licensed drone pilot, I have even more flexibility (as long as the area is within FAA guidelines). I delivered over 400 photographs to the client. Here are a few photos that take you from rubble to gravel for this Midwest mining photography project.
