Corporate portrait photography is one of my specialties. It’s not unusual for me to get a call requesting a quote on attorney headshots. Below is a group of attorneys I photographed a few weeks ago for Califf and Harper in Moline, IL. I was asked to photograph them with a similar look to what they had seen on my website, yet with each of the final photos being slightly different from one another.
All I needed was a large room so I could throw the background way out of focus. Fortunately, Hotel Blackhawk in Davenport is perfect for this type of work. The staff there have allowed me to use their beautiful lobby many times. Almost any spacious and elegant location can be used for this purpose. My subjects are typically in and out within a matter of minutes, so it’s quite painless for them. My setup on site is small and unassuming, so little attention is drawn to the subjects as I photograph them. As I take the photos, my camera instantaneously transmits them to my iPad. This allows each person to quickly review their portraits before they leave. We can take more at this point if desired.
The scope of this my corporate portrait photography service is not limited to law firms. Nor does my time on location require I only set up for headshot photography. I am often asked to do documentary photography as well as headshots. Examples might be factory workers performing their tasks as well as office personnel headshots. Or, both headshots and event photography at retail center grand openings. Adding in documentary photos is affordable and creates a huge catalog of images clients use in a variety of ways.
